Overview
PoolBoss gives every customer a magic-link portal branded with your company name and logo. They see their pools, the technician's before-and-after photos and notes from the last visit, chemical readings, and every invoice, with a Pay Now button when a balance is due. There's no password to set and no app to download - the link already in their email or text opens the portal directly.
Customer portal
What you can do
One link, no password
A pool owner gets to their portal from the link in their service report email or a text, not a login screen. There's no account to create and no password to remember or reset. The link opens straight to their own record.
Because there's nothing to install, this works the same on an iPhone, an Android phone, or a laptop. Whatever device the customer already has in hand when the report arrives is the device they use.
- No password, no account creation
- Opens from the link already in the service report or invoice email
- Works on any device, no app to install

Everything a homeowner asks about, already there
The portal shows the customer's own pools, the date of their next scheduled visit, and recent service history with the technician's chemical readings, notes, and before-and-after photos when the tech took them. A badge marks any visit the technician verified on-site.
Below that sit their invoices, each with a Pay Now button when money is owed and a link to the full statement, plus a saved payment method for autopay once they've set one up.
- Pools, next scheduled visit, and recent service with photos and notes
- Chemical readings logged at each visit
- Invoices with online payment and a full statement
- Saved payment method for autopay, when set up

Your brand on it, not ours
The portal shows your company's name and, once you upload one, your logo, instead of a generic PoolBoss-branded page. A customer who's never heard of PoolBoss just sees your business.
When you've added a phone number or email in settings, the portal shows a 'Questions about your service?' section with a one-tap call or email link, so a customer with a question about a charge or a missed visit has a direct way to reach you instead of guessing.
- Your company name and logo on every portal page
- Direct call or email link to your business, when you've set one
- Read-only: a customer sees only their own records, never another customer's

Why PoolBoss
Why pool pros choose PoolBoss
Built for pools, not bolted on
Water chemistry is the job, so it's the core of the product, not a notes field. Generic field-service tools don't track it.
Flat rate by pool count
You pay by how many pools you manage. No per-seat fees, no per-pool meter, and no surprise line on the bill as you grow.
Every feature on every plan
Nothing is locked to a higher tier. The Free plan has the same features as Fleet. Plans differ only by pool count.
Works in the field
The tech app runs on any phone and keeps working with no signal, so a visit completes at the pool and syncs when you're back on.
“Made things easier and that's the honest truth.”

FAQ
Common questions
Does PoolBoss have a customer portal?
Yes. Every PoolBoss customer gets a portal branded with your company's name and logo, reachable from a magic link in their service report and invoice emails. It shows their pools, recent service history with photos and notes from the technician, chemical readings, and invoices with online payment. It's read-only for the customer and scoped to their own records only - there's nothing for them to edit, and no way to see another customer's pool or invoice.
Do my customers need to create an account or download an app?
No. The customer portal uses a magic link, not a login. The link is already in the emails PoolBoss sends for a service report or an invoice, so a customer opens their portal by tapping that link, not by creating a username and password or installing anything. It works the same on a phone or a computer, whatever they have open when the email arrives.
Can customers pay their invoice online from the portal?
Yes. Any invoice with a balance due shows a Pay Now button right in the portal, and a link to the full statement sits below it. Once an invoice is paid in full, the button is replaced with a paid marker. If a customer has set up a saved payment method for autopay, that shows on the portal too, so they can see what's on file without calling to ask.
Can I put my own logo on the customer portal?
Yes. Upload your logo in company settings and it appears at the top of every page in your customers' portal, replacing the default PoolBoss wordmark. Your company name shows alongside it, and the contact section (when you've added a phone or email) directs the customer back to your business, not to PoolBoss.
What can a customer see in their portal?
Their own pools, the date of their next scheduled visit, and recent service history, including the technician's chemical readings, any notes they left, and before-and-after photos on visits where the tech took them. Below that are their invoices, with online payment and a link to a full statement for each one, and a saved payment method if they've set up autopay. That's the full scope - the portal doesn't expose anything belonging to your business or to another customer.
Is the customer portal secure? Can one customer see another's data?
No customer can see another customer's pools, service history, or invoices. Each portal link is scoped to one customer's own records only, and that scoping is enforced the same way every other tenant boundary in PoolBoss is enforced, not left to the page to check on its own. There's no login step to bypass because there's no shared login: a customer's link only ever opens that customer's data.
