What's new

What pool companies can now do in PoolBoss, newest first.

  1. Explainer videos in the service report

A service report email can link to a short video about the pool, shown under your company's brand.

  2. Make a quote from a field note

A technician can turn a note written at a stop into a quote on the phone.

  3. Parts come off the truck

Parts used on a job leave that truck's stock and are priced from your parts list, which holds cost, markup and stock for each truck.

  4. Payment plans, and cash or checks at a visit

Set up a payment plan on a customer's open invoices. A technician can record cash or a check at the stop, and the customer gets a receipt.

  5. QuickBooks keeps each invoice line under its own service item

Refunds split across the same items, and an overpayment credit goes to the customer's other invoices.

  6. Route profitability shows what was written off

Each route has a Written off column next to what it earned.

  7. Empty screens say what to do next

Customers, routes, invoices, quotes, reports and the rest each point to the next step when there is nothing on them yet.

  8. A shorter start for a new company

Sign-up asks your price per visit so the first invoice draft is not $0, and the setup checklist runs in the order most pool companies work, ending with Send your first invoice.

  9. Moving over from Skimmer

The import has a Skimmer lane with export steps and a sample file.

  10. A technician's first day

A new technician gets the app store links, is put on a route, and the owner is told when the invitation is accepted.
