PoolBoss turns the visits, readings, and invoices your team already logs into four core reports: revenue invoiced versus collected, chemical cost per pool, technician productivity, and route profitability. Every report compares the current period against the one before it automatically, so a number moving the wrong way shows up without exporting anything to a spreadsheet. Reporting is on every plan, including Free.

What you can do

Revenue and chemical cost without a spreadsheet

The revenue report shows what you've invoiced against what customers have actually paid, so collections and bookings are two separate numbers instead of one number you have to guess apart.

Chemical cost per pool works off the per-chemical unit costs you set once in settings. Every dose a tech logs during a visit turns into a cost automatically, so a pool that's quietly burning through chlorine shows up in the numbers instead of staying invisible until the chemical bill arrives.

  • Revenue invoiced versus revenue collected, by month
  • Chemical cost per pool, computed from logged doses
  • Outstanding balance list for what's still owed

Which techs and which routes are worth the truck

Technician productivity shows visits completed per tech per week and average stops per day, so a slow week shows up as a number instead of a feeling.

Route profitability sets revenue against chemical cost for each route, which is the number that tells you whether a route is actually worth running the way it's built today.

  • Visits completed per technician, per week
  • Average stops per day, per technician
  • Revenue versus chemical cost per route

Compare this period to the last one automatically

Every report card has a date range picker, and each one shows the prior period's number right alongside the current one, so a drop in collections or a spike in chemical cost is visible the moment you open the page instead of something you have to calculate by hand.

PoolBoss also includes accounts-receivable aging, customer retention, voided invoices, and portal adoption reports alongside the four core ones, all built from data you're already logging by running routes and invoicing customers.

Why pool pros choose PoolBoss

Built for pools, not bolted on

Water chemistry is the job, so it's the core of the product, not a notes field. Generic field-service tools don't track it.

Flat rate by pool count

You pay by how many pools you manage. No per-seat fees, no per-pool meter, and no surprise line on the bill as you grow.

Every feature on every plan

Nothing is locked to a higher tier. The Free plan has the same features as Fleet. Plans differ only by pool count.

Works in the field

The tech app runs on any phone and keeps working with no signal, so a visit completes at the pool and syncs when you're back on.

Would tell any pool guy to give it a shot.

Common questions

Does PoolBoss have reporting?

Yes. PoolBoss includes four core business reports built from the visits, chemical readings, and invoices your team already logs: revenue invoiced versus collected, chemical cost per pool, technician productivity, and route profitability. Alongside those are accounts-receivable aging, customer retention, voided invoices, and portal adoption reports. Every report has a date range picker and compares the current period against the one before it automatically.

What reports does PoolBoss include?

The four core reports are revenue invoiced versus collected, chemical cost per pool, technician productivity (visits per tech per week and average stops per day), and route profitability (revenue versus chemical cost per route). PoolBoss also includes accounts-receivable aging, customer retention, voided invoices, and portal adoption reports, so an operator gets a fuller financial picture without a separate reporting tool.

Is reporting available on the Free plan?

Yes. Every PoolBoss plan, including Free, includes every report. Plans differ only by how many pools you can service and, on Free, how many admin logins you get - not by which features or reports are available. Reporting isn't a paid add-on or a top-tier lock.

How is chemical cost per pool calculated?

You set the unit cost for each chemical once in settings. From then on, every dose a technician logs during a visit is priced against that unit cost automatically, and the chemical cost report rolls those per-visit costs up to a cost per pool for the date range you pick. There's no manual entry of chemical spend at report time - the cost is computed from readings your techs are already logging in the field.

Can I see revenue collected versus invoiced?

Yes. The revenue report separates what you've invoiced from what customers have actually paid, for whatever date range you pick, and shows the prior period's numbers alongside the current ones so you can see whether collections are catching up to bookings or falling behind.

Can I compare this month's numbers to last month's?

Yes. Every report card has a date range picker, and each one automatically pulls the same-length prior period for comparison, so this month sits right next to last month (or any other period you choose) without building the comparison yourself.
